What a treat for us all at The Hog Hotel to look after 17 local businessmen for their monthly club lunch, whereby any talk of business is banned, and much laughter had. With a specially created 7 course menu, plus handpicked wines to match, it would be fair to say they certainly enjoyed the afternoon. Dishes included langostine, lobster ravioli, bisque & lovage oil; roasted hake, chicken butter, sea vegetables; and stuffed saddle of lamb, kidney & spinach farce, confit belly, beetroot. A completely vegetarian menu was served for one special guest who has nobly ditched meat and fish to please his loved one. Nathan made himself available (whether they wanted it not!) to be the master of ceremonies, talking through each of the wines, ably assisted by wife Sally and sister Cathy (the ladies did all the hard work!) The restaurant worked brilliantly as a private dining space, and we look forward to them returning in the near future.
